“High heels represent how I’m feeling, how I want to feel, how I wish I could feel…”
About the Artist
Kathy Lee’s brush and palette knife creations on canvas express nature’s deepest inner passions in a unique style all her own. Her traditional and impressionist visualizations of seascapes, florals, and landscapes remain pure and untouched by human interference. One cannot help but feel the overwhelming power of the human spirit as the textured colors weave together on canvas coming alive as our own personal feelings are released from the confines of the purely visual and engaged in an experience that awakens all of our senses. The spiritual urging become moving and dramatic as she allows her emotions and passions to convey feelings to you without restrictions solely to the visual sense but more so in the illusion of fantasy.
A native of San Diego, CA, Kathy Lee took to painting seriously in 1996. She was selected as one of the top 100 International Artist for Art Prospect Competition two years in a row and has received various ribbons. She has had the honor of studying under Yumi, a successful, talented and renowned artist for a year. She was juried into an elite group of artists called, “Fine Art 13”, and had her work displayed in a La Jolla Gallery on Gerard Avenue in La Jolla, CA.
Kathy Lee’s artworks are still on display in a permanent exhibition at the United States Marine Corp Museum in San Diego, CA and is currently part owner of Gallery 25 where a dozen of her paintings hang in Ogden, UT.
