It’s the 4th of July and all is well! We have friends from the Midwest visiting and I’m busy, busy preparing a wonderful feast of foods that will certainly make an impression on all our taste buds! Oh, and let’s not forget all the desserts!!!!! PIMP and I have been so excited to celebrate one year in our house here in Utah and what better way to celebrate but with fireworks?!!!
Coming from California we haven’t been exposed to that many kinds of fireworks hands on, and the anticipation of being able to light, touch and hold the many different kinds of fireworks purchased last week for this special time was almost too much to contain!! I’m feeling overly blessed knowing how hard we have worked and the hours spent on our house to make it complete, comfortable, and inviting.
With dinner done and some of my guests leaving to go watch fireworks elsewhere, my PIMP, ignoring all my NO NO NO’s, decided to set off one last bomb rocket in our yard, kind of like “one for the road as you go” sort of thing! As we stood on the porch with our ears covered and heads down, the rocket was lit…Gaboooooooooooom!…as the ground shook and the flames and smoke were accompanied by the loudest ear deafening sound, the thunderous rocket shot straight up and then just as swiftly turned to the side aiming right at us standing on the porch!
A piece of the rocket gun powder burrowed through the side of my arm embedding itself deep within the top of my arm and pushing my skin up like a teepee!! With piercing pain exploding all around me, I saw my own stars and as my friends ran towards me, it took every force of strength in me to fight away the desire to faint and vomit…
And in that KlackyLee moment, I realized on our way to the Emergency Room that PIMP’S long awaited debut with rocket fireworks was DONE, and the only thing he would be lucky enough to light off is his rocket in his pocket!

Well that’s one fireworks night you and Johnny will NEVER forget and neither will his pocket book, Sorry this is late but I have been busy myself and its time to catch up on a few things!
I do hope your arm healed up OK, at least you had a good dinner, NO?
It cant be a Burns Celebration without some kind of mishap going on, right?
Enjoyed reading this, no pun and I don’t mean to laugh but I did get a chuckle – Just the picture of you and you and Johnny standing on you porch watching the rocket and low and behold it coming closer and closer to you right into your arm, Now that is Fireworks!!
Love Ya Sis…
